Words That End In “GRY”
I was at some event over the weekend and while we were listening to someone sing the national song of some foreign country, I got a tap on my shoulder. It was Kofi and he started asking me if I'd ever found any words that rhymed with Orange. You might recall a while back Kofi told me there are no words that rhyme with Orange. Anyway, I disagreed and he challenged me to think of some and we shook hands and made a bet. So now I answered “no I hadn’t” and I he said that he’d won the bet. Well just as Laura was poking me to shut up, Kofi said I “could owe him.” I said I’d think about it.

After thinking about it for a minute, I turned and told Kofi that he'd won fair and square, but added that if I’d had some more time, I could've thought of some words that rhyme with orange, and I added that I had been hungry and angry that night, and in a ornery mood. Then Kofi said, “Ah yes Mr. President, hungry and angry do not mix well.”
“No they don’t.” I agreed.
Then he says, “Did you know Mr. President that the only thing hungry and angry do agree on is that they happen to be the only two words in the English language that end in GRY?”
I thought for a moment and said back, “I don’t believe that for a second. Kofi.”
Before I could even blink he said, ”Are you wanting to make another wager Mr. President? Say double or nothing?”
I told him he was on, and this time I would be thinking of some words that end in GRY. A lot of them as a matter of fact. Time to get to work!
